Finding the right roof rack doesn't have to be complicated. At PawAuto, our vehicle search tool eliminates most of the headache. Simply select your vehicle's make, model, and year, and our system will show you the roof rack options designed for your vehicle.
Knowing your roof type is also important, because the same vehicle can sometimes have different roof configurations.
Know Your Car's Roof Type
Raised Rails - Rails run from front to back with a visible gap between the rail and the roof.
Flush Rails - Rails run along the roof but sit directly against it, without a large gap underneath.
Fixed Points - Factory mounting points are built into the roof and may be hidden under small covers or roof trim.
Normal / Bare Roof - The vehicle has no factory roof rails. The roof rack uses a vehicle-specific mounting system.
Rain Gutter - Common on some older vehicles and vans, with a gutter along the sides of the roof used for mounting.
If you're unsure, don't guess. Send us a few clear pictures of your vehicle and roof, and we'll be happy to help identify it.
Some Vehicles Are a Little Different
Occasionally, vehicles of the same model can have different roof configurations or factory mounting points. Some may also require different or additional mounting hardware.
If something doesn't look right during installation, don't force it.
Send us your vehicle information and pictures of the roof, mounting area, rack, and parts you received. Whether the wrong roof type was selected or we made a mistake identifying the correct setup, communication usually allows us to identify the problem and find a solution quickly.
